United, City handed boost in pursuit of Inter star

Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar has gone on record to admit that he is open to leaving the club this summer.

Speaking at a recent interview with Slovakian Daily Sport, the defender said, “I know an incredible offer came in the winter. I left everything in my agent's hands. I would have gone had it been for the best. I'm happy with the interest of big clubs, but at the same time I was delighted that Inter decided not to sell.”

Potential suitors

The 23-year-old further hinted at his possible future destinations by adding, “I really like Real Madrid and Barcelona but the same applies to the two in Manchester. The Premier League is the most beautiful in the world."

Skriniar, however, conceded that his exit will depend on a number of factors by continuing, “My eventual departure would depend on many things, such as the agreement between the clubs and the role I would be adopting.”

This is undoubtedly a welcome development on United’s and City’s part since both English sides will be looking to strengthen their current squads defensively in order to establish themselves as the dominant clubs moving forward.
