Marco has resigned as the head coach despite being offered a new contract, following the club being relegated.
The 39-year-old, who succeeded Mike Phelan at the KCOM Stadium in January, had been widely expected to leave the club after their drop into the Championship was confirmed with a 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.
According to reports Silva's contract contained a clause that would allow him to leave if Hull were relegated and the club announced on Thursday that he had informed them of his decision to move on, despite being offered a new deal.
The Portuguese manager, who has been linked with Watford, Crystal Palace and Porto, will be remembered for his efforts to maintain the premier League status.
